Gary developed an early interest in art growing up in his native state of Montana and went
on to graduate from Montana State University in Advertising Design which led to a long career in commercial art.
After studying painting one summer in Paris he then made the move to Southern California to continue
his design career. Through the years, however, he still found time to pursue his love of fine art and
has had great success exhibiting his work throughout the area. Gary left the work-a-day world several years
ago to concentrate all his efforts on painting. He was recently presented with The Distinguished Visual Artist Award
for the years 2005-2006 by the City of Huntington Beach.
His unique, impressionistic landscapes in acrylics and oils usually result from his numerous trips
throughout the western states and his paintings adorn many private collections.
