After a recent position as Events Coordinator for the AIDS Services Foundation of Orange County, Sherry
realized that she should be exhibiting in, not organizing art competitions. She decided to return to
painting with acrylics rather than watercolors.
Her training as an Art Major at a teacher's college in the east helped develop her basic abilities for
representational artwork created over the years while teaching others. Her style evolved while taking
workshops in watercolors by such notables as Milford Zornes, Ning Yeh and Phyllis Case Bennett.
Sherry has shown in several of the Huntington Beach Art Center non-juried shows and won several awards in
the shows sponsored by the Huntington Beach Art League at the Central Library Gallery. She has also been
accepted into the Orange County Fair yearly exhibitions and won several first prizes in the Los Angeles
County Fair Art Competition.
